Granola for Hope

Granola for Hope has closed up shop for the time-being as we prepare the 2021 Virtual Race for Hope, a 5K Run/Walk that will take place Sunday May 2nd. Thank you all for your purchases, which raised $1,055.80 to fund brain cancer research and awareness. Hope always!

About the Cause

Inspired by bake sales and pop-ups to raise funds for worthy causes, Granola for Hope aims to do the same by selling granola to support the Race for Hope. The granola-maker is also the team captain of Team Americans Running for a Canadian, which has participated in the 5K run/walk to raises funds for brain cancer research and awareness since 2014. The team was formed in honor of her late husband, Greg Milkovich, who passed away from a Stage IV glioblastoma brain tumor on March 1, 2015.

The race traditionally starts at Freedom Plaza in Washington, DC on the first Sunday in May, with over 20,000 participants. The 2021 Race for Hope will take place virtually on Sunday May 2nd and we encourage you to join our team by clicking on the above link. The team usually holds a chili cook-off and cocktail contest to raise funds, but, like the race, the fundraising has gone virtual until it is safe to gather again.

Similar to the act of making homemade granola, spreading hope is simple yet heartwarming and Granola for Hope offers the ability to warm hearts and bellies!
